I am currently based in KIS Almaty, Kazakhstan in the role of MYP PHE Teacher. In this role, I successfully redesigned, implemented and evaluated the whole school PHE programme with a deeper emphasis on Conceptual Based Curriculum Inquiry (CBCI) and producing a flowing conceptual arc for the school PHE and Sport curricula.

Coached Junior Varsity (U15) and Varsity (U19) football teams in both national and international football tournaments.

I worked in Tivat, Montenegro as the Head of PHE/PE and Athletics Director for all year groups in both the PYP and MYP IB programmes (Reception - Year 11). In this role, I successfully designed, formed, implemented and evaluated the whole school PHE/PE programmes from scratch. I was also the lead teacher for DP Sport, Exercise & Health Science (SEHS), delivering both current curricula to Year 12 and Year 13.
I previously worked as a Year 5 & 6 Teacher within the PYP/IB programme. As a part of this role as Year 5 & Year 6 teacher, I was responsible for the successful execution of the PYP Exhibition for Year 6 students, whilst also ensuring the effective lateral delivery of teaching & learning to both year groups. In my role as ATL Skills Coordinator, I ensure that effective collaboration throughout the school is present, in each of the PYP, MYP and DP programmes.

I worked in Muscat, Oman as a Grade 6 Teacher within the PYP/IB programme. In this role I gained a deeper understanding of international teaching and of different cultures within the school environment. Upon my Middle Leader Training (COBIS), I was appointed Head of Proactivity; a role involving liaising with school board members and implementing plans for whole school development based around the school’s ‘core values’.

Liaised with the Board of Trustees as Head of Proactivity and a member of the school Strategic Management Team in order to form, monitor and evaluate the implementation of long term strategies and practices related to the school mission statement and 'core values'.

I worked as a Primary School Teacher, teaching Year 5 as well as being in the role of PE Subject Lead for 2 years, managing the PE & Sport Department for my school (Hatton Hill Primary School, Sefton). As a teacher, I have supported a wide variety of pupils in developing their academic and social abilities, as well as many children with Special Educational Needs and other challenging backgrounds. As a trainee teacher, I was graded as ‘Outstanding’ and seek to maintain this perception of my ability in all that I do.

Planned, delivered and managed a variety of extra-curricular sports clubs for both Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils, utilising my knowledge and experience as a sports specialist.
Developed an ‘Inclusive Practice’ statement of commitment, in which I worked to close the gender gap within school sport, and feel that I have been extremely successful in doing so.
Planned and monitored a whole school curriculum for both Key Stage 1 and 2, regularly assessing the effectiveness of our sporting delivery in light of the Olympic Legacy 2012.
Managed a team of Sport staff (internal and external to the school) and financial budgets to ensure that all pupils experience the greatest level of support and teaching throughout their school careers.
I worked in a voluntary role as a PE & Sport Practitioner with children aged 7-11. In this role, I planned and delivered the majority of the PE curriculum throughout Key Stage 2 (volunteering 5 days a week for most of the academic year). After a few months of teaching in line with the existing PE school curriculum, the school leadership team asked me to assist in updating their curriculum (due to my interest and knowledge around school sport). I continued to deliver PE to the students, as well as occasionally leading lessons in PSHE and Science (relating to PE aspects such as healthy living) and assisting class teachers in other areas of the curriculum.
Additional Roles
Planned and delivered a 10 week extra-curricular boxing club for Year 6 girls, in order to address the social stereotypes associated with girls and sport, as well as develop leadership and teamwork skills.
Led pupils in a number of 3-day and 5-day character building residential trips to North Wales, supporting social development, teamwork and confidence building in pupils as they completed 'outward bounds' type activities.
